SH Kindergarten and Nursery Toyama
A new kindergarten and nursery built in Toyama, Japan, with the concept 'Full of Adventurous Spirit and Curiosity, Surrounded by Tateyama Mountain Range'. As a symbol of this region, this mountain range has been popular here. In that climbing route, there are many places which stimulate children's adventurous spirit and curiosity. From this idea, inside of this building, there are 10 kinds of den spaces. In the dining room, we designed the trapezoid chair and table whose idea is come from the mountain shape. When you put the chair upside down, adults can also use because the sitting area gets wider. The bench of the library space is designed with the concept, 'Books Pond'. Children can concentrate on reading picture books here in feeling and touching natural wood texture.
